Lok Ma Chau Loop EPTI Monitoring

Falsework monitoring and force sensor

As the new engine of Hong Kong's future development, the Northern Metropolis is strategically divided into four major zones stretching from west to east. Among them, the Lok Ma Chau Loop stands out as a dedicated Innovation and Technology Zone. Our innovation, TAMAGO falsework support monitoring devices, have been deployed in the construction of the Lok Ma Chau Elevated Public Transport Interchange (EPTI) to enhance site safety.

The EPTI spans approximately 5,700m² above the existing Lok Ma Chau Spur Line. Located next to Lok Ma Chau MTR station, which connects to Futian Port in Shenzhen, the site serves as a vital cross-border gateway with festive peak traffic exceeding 185,000 passengers daily. The installation of large-scale scaffolding near active transport hubs poses considerable public safety risks, requiring stringent monitoring and control throughout construction.

To address these, TAMAGO devices are deployed to monitor load of temporary support frames in real-time. The system provides precise load distribution data, assisting relevant stakeholders in adjusting individual scaffold legs as needed. This helps prevent uneven or abnormal load distribution, ensuring structural stability and public safety throughout the project.

TAMAGO brings smart construction to life, safeguarding both workers and the public in one of Hong Kong's most important infrastructure projects.
